THE EMOTION OF ORAL STORYTELLING THAT TRANSFORMS LIVES

Te Cuento una Vida is an artistic pause in our troubled world. This project offers oral storytelling shows, storytellling and cultural routes on biographies that illuminate to recover the magic of the stories shared by the fire, where young people and adults gathered to listen, be moved and reflect.

It is a unique storytelling experience that combines art, culture, cultural dissemination and education in values. The narrations are composed and interpreted by the Italian-Spanish storyteller Veronica Pensosi with the aim of telling the lives of great figures of the past in different languages to enjoy learning.

It offers face-to-face and online events, as well as cultural routes. Te Cuento una vida was born in 2018 and has been successfully presented in cultural institutions, libraries, theaters, high schools and universities throughout Spain, with excellent reviews for the originality of the narrative.

Original and touching life stories

Each story is based on a thorough documentation work. Veronica Pensosi immerses herself for months in the lives of real historical and literary figures: she reads, researches, reinterprets… until she gives shape to a vital tale. The result is dynamic, emotional and deeply human stories, with rhythm, changes of tone and artistic sensitivity. These stories are not read: they are lived. They are the fruit of oral tradition in its most lively and renewed version.

The narrator behind the story: Verónica Pensosi

Veronica Pensosi, Spanish-Italian, is the driving force behind the project. Graduated cum laude in Literature from La Sapienza University of Rome -with a specialization in Film History- and in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid, she combines a solid academic background with an exceptional narrative sensibility.

She has also completed a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management and has been selected in the Factoría Cultural Innovation Plan for creative projects. She trained as a storyteller at the Escuela de Cuentacuentos de Madrid and is fluent in four languages: Spanish, Italian, French and English.

His career includes field work at the United Nations FAO in Nairobi and Dakar, and later, as project manager at the Orange Foundation, in favor of functional diversity. She has been an international speaker at conferences in Europe and Latin America, giving presentations in different languages.

In addition, he has lectured on film and literature at the Complutense University, the University of Alcalá, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the University of Seville and the French Institute, among others. Currently, he teaches storytelling techniques at several universities for educational innovation.

Since 2018, he has been touring Spain with Te Cuento una Vida, bringing to the stage stories halfway between lecture and story, supported by graphic material, with a staging where each story comes to life.
